While the use of big data help farmers with managing their field through analytic data, it could be argued that negative implication exists in in the use of data. Bronson and Keevil (2019) suggest that data may be used to spy on farmers through machine sensors. There is also an issue surrounding the unethical use of data collected in the farm and selling in to third parties. Since 2016, it has been argued by the author that no concern about digital and data policies around agriculture has been established. According to Brown (2016) harvesting information has a potential threat to the workplace or lively hood of labourers. She argues that through the cloud platform personal data could be stolen or rather the cloud system could be tampered with, messing with the security or household system.
